After two years of relentless work under his own name and with sales surging, In 2016 Leo recognized that the time had come to take his business to the next level: transforming it into a corporation. However, before making this transition official, there was one pivotal decision that kept him up at night, "How would you go about naming your new company?"
For many, a name is merely a formality, but for Leo, it had to embody something far deeper. Since his childhood, his driving force had been an unwavering desire to succeed—to build something enduring that would provide stability for those he cherished most: his family. Over time, this purpose evolved, guiding him to create a home for his loved ones.
It was then that the answer arrived with unshakeable clarity. His eldest daughter, Perla, had always been his greatest source of inspiration, but as he looked at his three other daughters, he realized that each of them was an invaluable gem in his life. Thus, Pearls Farm Labor Inc. was born—a name that not only symbolized his profound love for his daughters but also represented his commitment to creating something solid, radiant, and timeless, much like the pearls that shimmer in the ocean.
The journey was not without its challenges. Lacking a dedicated office, Leo relied on external services to handle the administrative side of the business. However, he knew that if he wanted to elevate his business to new heights, he would need to build a team that shared his vision.
With the support of his brothers, who led crews in the field, and by recruiting talented administrative professionals, Leo found the perfect opportunity: a modest office in the city of Lodi. While his operations were based in Napa Valley, Lodi remained his home, and it was there that he decided to plant the first seeds of his growing enterprise.
From this humble office, with a small but dedicated team, Leo took full control of the administration, eliminating the reliance on third-party services. This was no longer just a business—it was the realization of a dream, forged through hard work, sacrifice, and a steadfast desire to leave a lasting legacy.
"Pearls Farm Labor Inc. was not conceived in a boardroom or in a meeting of investors. It was born in the fields, in the sweat and effort of each day, and in the unwavering determination of a man who transformed his love for his family into the greatest strength that would propel him forward."
The company continued to advance, but as the workload expanded unexpectedly and at an unprecedented rate, Leo recognized the necessity of establishing a base in Napa. Since he began providing agricultural labor across three counties—Napa, Solano, and Sonoma—and as he gained more experience in the industry, Leo understood that it was no longer feasible to transport his equipment and vehicles from Lodi.
In 2017, an invaluable opportunity arose: the chance to acquire property in Napa. The property, which had previously been used as a small office and storage space, offered the ideal setting to house his agricultural equipment and vehicles. This acquisition proved to be a crucial step, enabling Leo and his team to be closer to the day-to-day operations of the business.
Pearls Farm Labor Inc. was now providing employment to nearly 500 individuals annually, a milestone Leo had never anticipated reaching in the early stages of the business. This success was a testament to years of relentless hard work, sacrifice, and commitment.
In 2018, Leo achieved another significant milestone when his company began providing agricultural labor to one of the largest and most established firms in Napa Valley. This new partnership allowed Pearls Farm Labor Inc. to offer employment to approximately 150 additional individuals. As the demand for services continued to grow, Leo found it necessary to expand his fleet of vehicles to accommodate the increasing workload and ensure his company could meet its obligations.
